Apple will today open the doors to Apple Central World, its second and largest retail outlet in Thailand.

Located in Ratchaprasong, an iconic intersection in Bangkok, the store sets a new standard for Apple in Asia and will prove to be incredibly popular in the coming years.

The new store features the first-ever all-glass design, and Apple Central World is housed under a Tree Canopy roof.

Guests will be able to enter the building from two levels and travel between the two via a breathtaking spiral staircase or a cylindrical elevator.

On the upper level, shoppers can leave the store and enter the city’s largest shopping center.

Speaking of the new store launch, Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail + People, said: “We are excited for visitors to discover this truly one-of-a-kind store in Ratchaprasong.

“With our future Today at Apple sessions and a phenomenal team ready to welcome the community with exceptional service and support, we can’t wait for our customers to experience Apple Central World.”

What’s particularly exciting about the store is that it will employ more than 130 people, who will be able to speak seventeen languages combined, making it one of the most multicultural and tourist-friendly Apple Stores in the world.

Of course, protecting customers from the COVID-19 virus remains at the fore of Apple’s retail division, and so thorough health and safety measures will be put in place, including temperature checks and social distancing.

Unusually, Apple will only be allowing guests to enter Apple Central World on an appointment-only basis, though it’s unknown exactly how long this policy will be in place.
