❤️☠️🤖. For those of you who aren’t up to date with Netflix’s recent animated roster, these three emoticons might not mean much. In reality, they’re a stylized rendition of the title of the show called LOVE DEATH + ROBOTS, or simply Love, Death & Robots. This short animated series has been a major hit for Netflix and we definitely recommend you give it a go on your Apple devices.

Love, Death + Robots | Season 2

Love, Death & Robots is an animated sci-fi anthology series that began airing on March 15, 2019. The complete first season, consisting of 18 episodes in total, was released on that date. A second season was ordered in June of that same year and premiered on May 14, 2021, with eight episodes. The episodes are between six and eighteen minutes in length and tell separate stories about robots, aliens, and other typical sci-fi characters. It is executive produced by David Fincher (Se7enFight ClubMindhunter) and Tim Miller (Deadpool), among others.

The plot of each episode is quite different, so it’s a mixed bag when you look at it like that. The same thing goes for the style – some episodes are lighter, with more humor, while others are deeper and darker – and the animation. There are episodes done using classical 2D animation, but also episodes based mostly on 3D animation and CGI. Inconsistency – but in the best possible meaning of the word – is what characterizes this show, both at its best and at its worst, so even if you don’t like inconsistency, we believe that Love, Death & Robots is something that you’ll definitely like.

Love, Death & Robots is available on Netflix and luckily for all Apple users, every Apple device supports Netflix’s app, so you can easily stream the show from the comfort of your own home, whether you have an iPhone, iPad, or a Mac. We definitely advise you to do so, as this award-winning show is certainly worth it!
