Luxury Las Vegas Resort The Cosmopolitan to Accept Apple Pay

Apple Pay, the digital wallet service officially unveiled by Apple last autumn, is becoming accepted by more and more US merchants for use in payment – and will soon also be accepted at one of the most prestigious resorts in Las Vegas. That resort is The Cosmopolitan, which has announced that Apple Pay can be used at its front desk, restaurants and bars from early June.

This latest development in the widespread take-up of Apple Pay, now supported by over two hundred banks and credit unions in the US, is yet more great news for Apple. The Cosmopolitan, which is located on the west of the major road of Las Vegas Boulevard, is popular for its 110,000 sq ft casino and 300,000 sq ft of shopping and restaurant space. Earlier this year, it was even named in the UK-based Condé Nast Traveller magazine’s The Gold List as one of the world’s best hotels.

Apple Pay also looks set to make room service easier at The Cosmopolitan, as the concierge service will be another part of the resort’s offer that can accept Apple Pay. Apple mobile devices that can currently be used to make payments through Apple Pay include the iPhone 6 models, iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3.
