After years of waiting, June 9, 2021, finally saw the premiere of Marvel’s television series Loki on Disney+. The series stars Tom Hiddleston in the titular role of the Asgardian God of Trickery, who reprises his role from the main Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films, where he has been presumed dead. Hiddleston is joined by Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Renslayer, Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15, Tara Strong voices Miss Minutes, and Owen Wilson as Mobius M. Mobius.

Disney+ has summarized the series as follows: “Picking up immediately after Loki steals the Tesseract (again), he finds himself called before the Time Variance Authority, a bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space, forced to answer for his crimes against the timeline and given a choice: face deletion from reality or assist in catching an even greater threat.”

Disney+ is releasing one episode per week, with the first season consisting of a total of six episodes. A second season has already been ordered and after seeing the first three episodes of the series, we can say that the prospect of more Loki episodes has colored us excited. The critics also agree with us!

The show has received significant praise from the critics, with the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes summarizing the show as follows: “A delightful diversion from the MCU as we know it, Loki successfully sees star Tom Hiddleston leap from beloved villain to endearing antihero—with a little help from Owen Wilson—in a series that’s as off-kilter, charming, and vaguely dangerous as the demigod himself.”

Now, Loki is currently one of the best shows available for streaming, which is why we wholeheartedly recommend it for you. Disney+ is available on all Apple devices, so streaming the show should not be an issue for Apple users. Get your device, download the app, and dive into the beautiful lunacy of Loki!
