“May the 4th be with you”
What began as a pun is now known as the official Star Wars day, an event that sees celebrations, game launches, deals and promotions taking place worldwide. Much like last months Alien Day which took place on April 26th, Star Wars Day was born from fans rather than the studio. The official Star Wars site states:
“As Star Wars Day was created by the fans, it is truly their day. “Hosting movie marathons, sharing greetings on social media, cooking Star Wars recipes – there are no wrong ways to celebrate May the 4th, and each year we’re amazed at the creative ways that fans mark the occasion. With Star Wars alive like never before, we hope you’ll join in this year.”
In celebration, here’s a list of some of the best Star Wars themed toys and gadgets that you’ll definitely want to get your hands on.
Smart R2-D2
