Menu Filtering Added to MyFitnessPal Calorie Counter iOS App

MyFitnessPal’s calorie counter app, which eases tracking of food and drink consumption to encourage healthier diet choices, was today updated with a number of small but easily appreciable features. These include menu filtering for more quickly choosing healthy options when ordering at restaurants.

This particular feature, included in the new version 6.15 of the free-to-download app for iPhone and iPad, is available through Restaurant Logging and allows menus to be filtered to show only items that fall within a specific calorie range. The app’s users who have shelled out for the premium features can also filter choices by carbs, fat, and protein.

However, the update’s release notes warn that the new additions, which also include performance improvements, bug fixes and other little tweaks, are rolling out slowly – so you shouldn’t fret if you have already updated the app, but have yet to see the changes.
