If you’re very much in the Microsoft ecosystem, with an Xbox One and a PC or mobile device running Windows 10, you can definitely benefit from the various new features and tweaks that Microsoft has issued for the free Xbox app on the company’s flagship operating system.
WMPoweruser reports that the Redmond firm updated the app last night, giving it a number of exciting features – including the abilities to trace Facebook friends on Xbox Live and purchase games and redeem codes for Xbox One. All of this is possible from just the app on a Windows 10 device – an example of seamless integration between the device and Microsoft’s console gaming platform.
There have also been more subtle enhancements, including to the activity feed and general performance, to further smooth regular use of the app.
