Microsoft Bringing New Editor to Outlook 2016 for Mac in May

If you are a regular user of the email client Outlook 2016 for Mac, you will soon be able to benefit from a new editor with better formatting support and added functions for resizing and formatting images.

As Microsoft’s Outlook Team explains in a blog post, after inserting an image in an email message, you will be able to make use of new handles to resize or rotate that picture on the canvas. It will also be possible to manually set the image’s size by selecting ‘Size and Position…’ in the context menu.

Another tweak will be what has reportedly been one of the most commonly requested improvements for the software: enhanced formatting support. The new editor will provide access to a broader choice of fonts, font colors and bullet and numbered lists, along with better font editing and hyperlink dialogs.

These new features, Microsoft adds, will “roll out in mid-May” – which suggests that all users of Outlook 2016 for Mac should have them within the next few days.
