As the small print on the Microsoft online store explains, the handset is also available at this price only in this online store and the Redmond corporation’s retail stores in the US – including Puerto Rico – and Canada, not to mention while stocks last. But it’s a pretty good deal if you do make use of it.
The Lumia 550 is, unsurprisingly, hardly a top-of-the-range smartphone in terms of specs, coming as it does with just 8GB of internal storage and an outdated 5-megapixel camera. However, Microsoft has also thrown in a free T-Mobile SIM Kit, while the handset comes with Windows 10 Mobile – which should continue to receive updates from Microsoft until at least September 2018.
