Microsoft Lumia 650’s Price Cut by 25% in UK, 35% in Ireland

If you’re in the United Kingdom or Republic of Ireland and have had your eye on the Lumia 650 handset, now’s an especially good time to buy one, as it has just seen big price cuts in both countries.

The Lumia 650 was only launched in the UK in February, when SIM-free models were priced at £159.99 in the online Microsoft Store. However, Neowin reports that this price has just been lowered to £119.99 – that’s a saving of £40 and 25% on the original price.

In the Republic of Ireland arm of the Microsoft Store, meanwhile, the SIM-free Lumia 650’s price has gone from €229 to €149 – a discount of €80 and 35%. Furthermore, there’s no indication on the UK and Irish sites that either of these price cuts are simply part of a temporary special offer.

The Lumia 650, available in black or white, runs Windows 10 Mobile and features a 5-inch display, 8-megapixel camera and 16GB of onboard storage which can be expanded to 200GB via microSD.
