Microsoft Offers New Online Course for Windows 10 Developers

The launch of Windows 10 this July has become very eagerly anticipated – and, for this reason especially, there are likely many software developers who are willing to fast get started with creating for the new platform. Such developers have now been given a helping hand in the form of a free online course called ‘A Developer’s Guide to Windows 10’.

The course teaches how Windows 10 capabilities – among them cross-device communication, user interaction functions, and file and data management – can be effectively used in the creation of software for Windows 10 devices including PCs, smartphones, tablets and even Xbox. Even experienced game developers, then, could find this guide surprisingly useful.

The course comprises of several video modules, each around 30 minutes long, delivered by Microsoft Developer Evangelist Jerry Nixon and Microsoft Technical Evangelist Andy Wigley. However, people taking the course, which is available through Microsoft Virtual Academy, are not obliged to watch every module and can instead simply pick and choose the modules that most interest them.
