Microsoft Posts More Details of Windows 10 Mobile to Website

Though the precise schedule for the launch of Windows 10 Mobile remains unclear, Microsoft has published many more details about the operating system’s features to the Windows website.

Windows 10 Mobile, the version of Windows 10 especially optimised for smartphones and small tablets, will unsurprisingly feature several key features of its desktop big brother, like the digital personal assistant Cortana and Edge web browser.

More innovative additions include Windows Hello. Microsoft’s answer to Apple’s Touch ID fingerprint sensor on iOS devices, this feature allows the user to – should their device come with the necessary eye-scanning technology – simply look at the screen to unlock.

So, when will Windows 10 Mobile be with us? The new Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL will have the OS preinstalled, while Microsoft has revealed on the official Lumia Facebook page that other small devices will be included in a further rollout in December.
