If you’re among the many to have been inconvenienced by the constant pop-ups of the Get Windows 10 software, rest assured that Microsoft intends to soon disable and later remove the software on PCs.

However, a Microsoft spokesperson has told The Register that, while details are awaiting finalization, “on July 29th the Get Windows 10 app that facilitates the easy upgrade to Windows 10 will be disabled and eventually removed from PCs worldwide.”
As Microsoft revealed on the Windows blog this week, the availability of Windows 10 as a free upgrade for Windows 7 and 8.1 users will cease after that date, though the operating system will remain available to buy with devices on which the OS is preinstalled or as an upgrade to Windows 10 Home.
