Microsoft might have just launched the well-received Windows 10, but it clearly hasn’t forgotten its triumphs of yesteryear. The corporation is sponsoring the upcoming Windows 95 Team Reunion, which will bring together past and present Microsoft employees to celebrate twenty years since the release of Windows 95.
That hugely influential operating system was released on 24 August 1995, and this reunion event will occur at Benaroya Hall in Seattle this coming September 12, shortly after the twentieth anniversary of the release. The widespread reaction to the OS upon its debut was, above all, that of excitement. Here is a video sample of what CNET thought of Windows 95 back in the day.
