Microsoft to Reveal More About Content of Windows 10 Updates

Microsoft has regularly issued updates to Windows 10, but has only now, acting on feedback, set up a website dedicated to detailing the content of each new update as it is sent out.

A spokeswoman for the Redmond firm told The Register: “After listening to feedback regarding the level of disclosure for Windows 10 updates, we decided to implement a new system for communicating updates to the operating system.”

She added: “Today we are rolling out the Windows 10 update history site, a hub for the release notes that will accompany each update and serve as a historical record of prior release notes.”

It’s an encouraging turnaround for Microsoft, which had previously pledged to only explain the contents of what it considered significant updates to the operating system. The new site, which already details updates released yesterday, can be seen here.
