One of the biggest annual events in the world of gaming, E3, will have its 2015 outing in only about two weeks’ time, and there is some especially exciting news for PC gamers. First, E3 is going to have its first ever press conference dedicated to PC gaming. Second, the PC Gaming Show – as this conference will be called – could see some exciting announcements of new PC games from Microsoft.
Though Microsoft will have its own press conference at E3, this is likely to be dominated by announcements about Xbox One titles. That Microsoft will be joining many established big names in PC gaming, including Blizzard, Paradox and Bohemia, at the PC Gaming Show is just the start of considerable evidence that the company has some exciting new games planned for PC.
Speaking for Microsoft on the stage will be Phil Spencer, the company’s head of Xbox – which suggests that some acclaimed Xbox One games could be announced for PC at the PC Gaming Show. However, as Spencer has referred to the show as “a great time to talk about Windows 10 – the best operating system we’ve ever created for gamers on PCs”, revelations of all-new titles for a platform Microsoft has long pledged to provide for do not seem entirely implausible.
