Popular sandbox title Minecraft has added support for Bluetooth mice and keyboards on iOS and iPadOS, offering extended in-game controls to one of the world’s most popular games.
In recent years, Apple has been looking to make iPads and iPhones more attractive to both casual and hardcore gamers, and though the experiences on a small device can’t compete with traditional PC gaming, features like Bluetooth support go a long way. Minecraft, now owned by Microsoft, is one of the latest players to take advantage of Bluetooth controls.
If you’re a Minecraft fan and want to use a keyboard and mouse with your iPhone, you must update to version 1.19.10 or above on iOS and iPadOS, and then head to Settings, General, Keyboard, Hardware Keyboard, and Modifier Keys to remap keys for your gameplay.
Alongside support for Bluetooth mice and keyboards, the latest Minecraft update also adds support for playing music directly on the iOS and iPadOS app, rather than downloading music from the marketplace first.
