I was perfectly content with using batteries in my Apple Wireless Keyboard and Magic Mouse. Sure the batteries would burn out, then I'd replace them. No problem. That is until I tried the Mobee Magic Feet. Suddenly I can't imagine why I would have ever been switching batteries in those wireless accessories. I never knew I needed such a thing as a charger, but now that I have it, I can't imagine living without it.
I use wireless accessories in two different ways. I have an old MacBook with a broken screen, so it's kept closed with a monitor plugged into it. I use a wired keyboard in it, but do use the wireless Magic Mouse with it. However, more often than not, I'm working on my iPad. I'm a very quick touch typist, and for that, it's tedious to use the onscreen keyboard of the iPad, so I prefer using the Apple Wireless Keyboard. It's just easier all around.
With the Mobee Magic Feet, there is no more changing batteries. The wireless accessory allows you to plug in all your wireless Apple accessories and charge them. It plugs into a USB port, but don't worry about it burning up a valuable USB spot, as while it takes up one, it offers you four more.
Two Magic Mouse accessories (or one Magic Mouse and an extra rechargeable battery pack) can be charged simultaneously on the top of the Magic Feet. It comes with one rechargeable battery pack that is used in place of the disposable batteries. It also charges either a Wireless Trackpad or Wireless Keyboard in the front. It comes with a rechargeable battery pack that is used in place of the two AA batteries inside the keyboard. Take note, though, that it doesn't work with the older wireless “non-Magic” mouse or older wireless keyboard that holds three batteries instead of two.
I keep the Magic Mouse charging, and when I need it, I just take it off the charger, then replace it when I'm done. I'm on the Wireless Keyboard literally all day long. But when I go to bed, eat dinner, go out, etc., I return it to the charger, and this way it always has enough charge for me.
Mobee makes other great charging devices too. They make a collection of devices for charging your Apple wireless keyboards, Magic Mouse, and Magic Trackpads, all in different ways. They even offer up a device that will change your trackpad into a number pad.
Even after just one day of trying the Magic Feet, I was sold. It very quickly became a device I can't live without. It's everything I could have wanted, despite the fact that I didn't even know I wanted it until I tried it.
