The popularity of the Minions, those little yellow people who were hardly away from summer theater screenings this year, has gone from strength to strength. They are now celebrating the holiday season, too, with a festive update to the mobile game Despicable Me: Minion Rush.
Though originally released years ago, Gameloft has continued regularly adding new features to its popular runner, which we reviewed in June to mark the release of the movie Minions. With the update issued today, you can collect new Holiday-themed items including the Santa Hat and Bag of Gifts, and also play a new Bobsleigh mini-game.
Fans of the Minions film, which has recently become available for download from iTunes and is featured in the current issue of AppleMagazine, are also likely to enjoy competing with other Minion Rush players in the Arctic environment of the Minion Race mode. The game is free to download from the iOS App Store, Google Play or Windows Store.
