Who’d have thought that when the season finale of Gilmore Girls aired in 2007 that we’d be reunited with Rory, Lorelai and the residents of Stars Hollow nearly ten years later? Fans of the television series, which centered on the relationship between a mother and daughter, were treated to four 90-minute long episodes that are set throughout the four seasons.
The revival features the classic traits of life in Stars Hollow. Hilariously disorganized town meetings fronted by the straight-faced Taylor, the painfully awkward Friday night dinner and, of course, the iconic coffee runs at Luke’s. That being said, we at Apple Magazine felt that the revival included more mature themes which really let the audience delve deeper into the emotional side of the character’s lives.
If you’re an old fan of Gilmore Girls or new to the series, we definitely recommended giving this season a watch. The four episodes have the perfect mixture of drama, musical numbers and laughs. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that we will see more of Stars Hollow in the future!
