Rez Infinite, an enhanced version of the cult classic rhythm action game Rez, will arrive on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR on October 13 – the same day that Sony’s virtual reality system launches.
This release date has been announced by developer Enhance Games on Twitter. Rez Infinite was first revealed in December by Enhance Games CEO Tetsuya Mizuguchi – who, on the official PlayStation blog, said that the game would arrive “at a price that we can all feel good about.”
Now that the E3 dust has settled, we're excited to confirm Rez Infinite will be launching on Oct. 13, 2016 for PS4 and PSVR. See you then!

Mizuguchi has said that the enhanced sensory possibilities with virtual reality will bring Rez Infinite closer to his original vision when, at Sega, he worked on the first Rez game, which hit the Dreamcast and PlayStation 2 consoles in 2001. A rail shooter game which drew upon electronic music to bring a feeling of synesthesia, Rez has been considered revolutionary for its time.
Mizuguchi wrapped up his unveil of Rez Infinite by declaring it “the futuristic “synesthesia” experience I’ve wanted to create from the beginning.” We imagine that many music fans in particular will be eager to sample that experience for themselves when the game finally arrives this fall.
