Netflix Set for its Busiest Gaming Year Yet

Netflix for Games

Although no formal release dates have been set, it is expected that the launch of the fresh games will come to fruition over the course of the year.

Netflix intends to make further inroads into gaming, and we have provided a glimpse of some of the most highly anticipated games along with some detailed descriptions.

First up is Hades, and this is a game that Netflix is keen to add to its roster. Categorized as a rogue-like dungeon crawler, this Greek mythology-inspired title will be exclusive to iOS for Netflix members, so Android users will have to exercise patience in the meantime.

In Hades, you can play as Zagreus, the prince of the Underworld, and defy the god of the dead as you plot an escape route by hacking and slashing your way through your opponents. Each time you play, you’ll be able to use various types of weapons and gain different power-ups on each run.

It must be remembered that no two experiences are the same, but you will be able to unravel various challenges. Thanks to the superb art, audio, and narrative, you’ll be able to discover new character builds and unravel new story events. The sequel Hades II is expected to follow soon after.

Moving on, The Dragon Prince: Xadia is an enthralling hero-based cooperative action RPG from Wonderstorm, the makers of The Dragon Prince hit animated series available on Netflix.

Throw yourself into the world of Xadia in this game, and step into the boots of Xadia’s greatest champions to duel with iconic Dragon Prince villains. Here, you can unearth new stories that have all the heart and humor accustomed to the TV series.

At present, this game is exclusively available for Netflix mobile members, but there are plans to roll out the title for PC.

Of the other games that are in the throes of development, there will be a Rebel Moon game which is being created by Super Evil Megacorp. Taking place following the events of Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire and Part Two: The Scargiver, you can choose your rebel and engage in combat in this four-player co-op action game which has no definitive title.

Slotting in Nicely

TV series have come to shape and redefine attitudes to video games, and they have gone some way to transcending gaming culture. Indeed, video games have recalibrated and permeated their influence across other areas of the gaming industry over the past few years, particularly the online casino sphere. Video games based on TV shows have embraced the world of slots and they have become woven into the fabric of online slot play.

While Netflix has announced Squid Gaming will become an official slot in 2024, slots that are narrative-driven or have an inherent theme have ultimately become a big pull for players. As such, it is not difficult to pinpoint real money slots that provide appeal, and moreover, locate ones that fall into the TV series category. Many of the top operators nowadays will be brimming with TV-show inspired slots, and that includes brands, such as North Casino which has a Sherlock Holmes slot in its library amongst others, and these can facilitate big wins for players.

Sonic Mania Plus

Meanwhile, Netflix will also accommodate space for Sonic in the form of Sonic Mania Plus. Paying homage to the Sonic games of the past and future, Netflix users will be able to go as fast as Sonic, and those who like to reminisce, can engage in exciting new twists on the classic zones fighting against new bosses and Dr. Eggman’s evil robot army. Sonic Mania Plus is a welcome addition to the Netflix family.

The gaming titles will be flying off the production line over the coming months for Netflix, and it’s fair to assert they have come a long way since launching themselves into the gaming stratosphere in 2021.

Providing value for money as well as entertainment is at the heart of what Netflix tries to do, and if 2024 is anything to go by, this could end up being a banner year.
