As reported by MacRumors, every single one of the network’s shows will be available to enjoy through the Apple TV app, which will not require users to log in or have a cable subscription. The app will also, on Apple TV, support AirPlay – while other platforms getting the app include iOS, Android, Roku, Chromecast, Xbox and Amazon Fire TV.
The CW shows that you can look forward to watching through the app include Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Jane The Virgin, Supernatural, iZombie, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The Originals and The 100. However, don’t expect to be able to use it for binging old seasons, as it seems that only the “latest episodes” will be available for viewing at a time.
It’s unclear when exactly the app will be released, but The CW has, on its website, provided a form allowing users to request to be notified when it does become available.
