A new report suggests that Apple’s upcoming 14.1-inch iPad may not be a Pro machine.
It had previously been reported by Ross Young that a 14.1-inch iPad Pro would be coming soon, but now it appears at the model will be a lower-tier iPad without professional features like ProMotion or mini LED.
Young previously said that the model would be an iPad Pro, featuring a 14.1-inch display and an M2 chip, and now the protection has been updated to suggest the model will be slightly different. Speaking on Twitter, he said that the device will ship without a mini LED, and added that it won’t have ProMotion.
The new tablet should arrive in the first quarter of 2023, the reporter suggested.
Introducing a new 14.1-inch iPad could be a way for Apple to further diversify its product line-up and offer consumers more choice when deciding on the right tablet for their needs.
Apple currently offers a 12-inch iPad Pro, the biggest iPad, so it seems unusual that the firm would introduce a larger size for a standard iPad, rather than save it for the iPad Pro, but the truth is that there are no hard and fast rules when it comes to Apple products.
