New 4-Inch iPhone On The Way?

Rumors that Apple are to launch a smaller iPhone are circulating. A report from MobileWorldLive suggests that the tech giant is to launch a downsized device at the same time as the iPhone 6S. It’s thought that the decision has been inspired by the success of smaller devices like the iPhone 5, iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C. These devices all received significant price cuts after their successors were launched. All the handsets have 4-inch displays.

It’s though that the successors to the 4.7 inch iPhone 6 and 5.5 inch iPhone 6 Plus will retain the screen size of their predecessors. A new 4-inch device would be launched as an alternative for those on a budget. It’s also believed that the iPhone 6S will have a larger battery and a vastly improved camera.

The first iPhone was launched in 2007. The iPhone has become the most popular device of its type in the world despite competition from the likes of Samsung. Apple have been credited with reshaping the way that the world thinks about phones. New devices are expected to be launched this spring.
