New Apple Music beta for Android ‘leaks name’ of Apple’s classical music app

Transferring Spotify Playlist to Apple Music: Simple Guide

The latest beta of Apple Music for Android has rolled out and includes huge changes to the homescreen widgets, and could have even revealed the name of Apple’s upcoming classical genre app.

Apple acquired Primephonic, a classical music streaming company, in 2021. The Cupertino firm plans to launch a dedicated classical music offering this year, and code dug up by 9to5Google suggests the service could be called Apple Classical.

The new restyled widgets will offer more customisations to users than the present version of the app, and will be enlarged by ditching their thick borders. More options will also be displayed to the user within the screen space.

Both widget backgrounds will now be themed in accordance with the current song’s album artwork. When nothing is playing, it will go back to the previous red/pink hue.

We could reportedly see this new design update released to the public as early as March 2022, alongside iOS 15.4.
