New Lady Gaga music video shot entirely on iPhone 11

A group of individuals with vibrant pink hair and accessories stand confidently under a blue sky. The central figure, reminiscent of Lady Gaga, wears a headpiece and bold pink makeup, while the others, all set for a music video shoot on an iPhone 11, are adorned with goggles and bandanas, looking determined.

Popstar Lady Gaga has unveiled her new music video, and it was shot on iPhone.

The clip for Stupid Love, Lady Gaga’s first solo single since 2016’s Million Reasons, was shot on an iPhone 11 Pro, in collaboration with Apple. It’s presumed that Apple funded the music video in exchange for being able to use the clips as part of its ongoing ‘Shot on iPhone’ series, which appears regularly online and on TV stations.

Ahead of the release of the new track, Gaga shared teasers of the video on social media. Since its release, Apple has shared a new Shot on iPhone video on its YouTube channel to cross-promote the new song and partnership.

Speaking of her new single, Lady Gaga said: “We are definitely dancing… I put all my heart, all my pain, all my messages from the other realm that I hear of… what they tell me to tell the world and I put it into music that I believe to be so fun and you know, energetically really pure.

“I want people to dance and feel happy. I would like to put out music that a big chunk of the world will hear, and it will become a part of their daily lives and make them happy every single day.”

This is not the first time Apple has partnered with a pop star for a music video.

Last year, Selena Gomez partnered with Apple for two of her music videos, first Lose You to Love Me, and then Look at Her Now, both of which were shot on the iPhone 11 Pro to promote its cameras and low-light capabilities.

It’s unknown how much Apple’s partnership with Gaga is worth, but when you consider that music videos often run into millions of dollars once styling, locations, and production have been considered, it’s a sensible decision to hand over the costs to one of the world’s biggest technology companies, with billions in the bank.
