We recently favorably reviewed “Singularity”, the latest single from British rock band New Order – and now, it has emerged that an upcoming 12″ version will include several new remixes.
To promote this release, which is now available for pre-order from the iTunes Store, the band has shared one of its tracks, Erol Alkan’s extended remix of “Singularity”. The complete 12″, which also includes mixes from Liars, JS Zeiter and Mark Reeder, will arrive on March 25.
The full 12″ is, on the iTunes Store, priced at $8.99. However, it also includes the previously-released extended mix of “Singularity” and Tom Rowlands reworking of “Tutti Frutti”, both of which can currently be downloaded separately for $1.29 each. The original version of “Tutti Frutti” is another track on New Order’s well-received most recent album, Music Complete.
In related news, New Order was one of the inspirations behind the New York dream pop outfit School of Seven Bells – the final album from which, SVIIB, has also just arrived on the iTunes Store. That costs $9.99, and you can read more about it in the new issue of AppleMagazine out today.
