New Report Says Apple Not Planning to Release iPad Air 3

Though Apple’s suppliers are already preparing the components for the iPad Mini 4, the Cupertino giant is not set to release an addition to the iPad Air line. All of this is according to industry sources mentioned by DigiTimes.

Just this week, even more details suggesting a new iPad Mini have been leaked, while there is similarly good reason to believe that the much-mooted 12.9-inch “iPad Pro” is indeed on the way. However, according to the aforementioned sources, Apple has decided not to bring out an iPad Air 3 for now, having becoming more cautious about its tablet offering.

On a similar note, we reckon that many observers should be cautious about this story, considering that DigiTimes has not always proved reliable in making predictions about Apple products. Furthermore, as shown by the most recent earnings report, the iPad line remains Apple’s best-selling line of iOS products after only the iPhone roster – leaving an imminent iPad Air update, however small, still looking likely.
