New to Apple Pay? Here’s How to Get Started With It on iOS

With Canada and Australia having received Apple Pay only this week and the mobile payment service’s functionality having been expanding in the United States and the United Kingdom, the time seems right for us to point out how to get up and running with Apple Pay on an iOS device.

So far, the iOS devices with Apple Pay compatibility are the iPhones 6, 6 Plus, 6S, and 6S Plus, iPad Air 2, iPad Minis 3 and 4, and iPad Pro. In-app purchases with Apple Pay are possible on all of these devices; payments at NFC terminals are permitted only with the iPhone models. If you have one of these devices and an eligible payment card, Apple has provided a useful quick video guide for getting started.

If you think that video makes Apple Pay look so easy to set up, wait until you actually start regularly using it to make payments. Paying for so many different things – think food, clothes, train journeys, gig tickets and much more – is now so much quicker and can trim precious seconds during your hectic day. Before too long, it will doubtless feel like second nature.
