New Update Adds Features to Microsoft Office 2016 for Mac

Microsoft has bumped up Microsoft Office 2016 for Mac to version 15.8.0 – and, with this fresh update, there are new features for the apps Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook.

The email client Outlook can now be used in OS X’s Full Screen view, allowing for ready viewing of multiple messages or invitations side-by-side. It is also easier to find available Outlook conference rooms at times that are most convenient for you.

In Word, .pdf files can be saved to flash drives, while Excel and PowerPoint have each been given a selection pane enabling the user to keep track of, and rearrange the placement and order of, objects on the worksheet or slide. Also, shapes can now be added to notebook pages in OneNote.

Users of Microsoft Office 2016 for Mac who also run OS X Yosemite 10.10 or later and have a valid Microsoft Office 365 subscription can get these new features by heading into Microsoft AutoUpdate. This is provided with the suite and can be used through clicking ‘Check for Updates’ on the Help menu.
