Unsurprisingly considering that Apple’s announcement of new iPhones is likely only two weeks away now, there has been no slowdown in leaked pictures and details of the devices. The Apple news site MacRumors has posted a new video showing how several parts of the supposed “iPhone 6S” can be put together to form an iPhone capable of being booted up.
The video, which appears to have been provided to MacRumors by a source rather than filmed by the site itself, shows a switched-on iPhone, its screen showing just a black gear symbol on a gray backdrop, picked up and taken apart to show several components attached to the logic board inside. This is not, however, a complete iPhone; other parts that you would expect, including the rear camera, are absent.
Though, as AppleInsider has noted, it is not a foregone conclusion that the iPhone in this video is a genuine iPhone 6S, the handset does show a number of differences from the iPhone 6, including rear display shielding that has been secured with glue rather than screws. In any case, we are now unlikely to have to wait long before getting to see the actual iPhone 6S alongside the bigger iPhone 6S Plus.
