A new video has been posted online, showing a myriad of angles of two distinct renders of the reportedly forthcoming “iPad Pro”. These renders appear to confirm that the large slate will have a 12.9-inch screen and four speakers for good quality sound.
These renders have been made public by uSwitch after they were sourced by experienced tech leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer. uSwitch explains that these renders are derived from thorough blueprints of the tablet that have been sent to third party companies to help them to make compatible accessories, such as cases, for the device. However, there remains one particularly obvious mystery about the renders…
Even uSwitch has admitted uncertainty over which of these designs, if either, present the large tablet’s final design likely to be formally unveiled on Wednesday. One is from November 2014, while the other is from June this year. The newer one indicates a thickness of 8mm, which is 0.8mm greater than the thickness measurement of the older form.
Though uSwitch has resisted singling out either of these designs as the more likely, we reckon that the thickness disparity could be plausibly explained by Apple recently modifying the shell of the “iPad Pro” to accommodate a Force Touch display – a feature that has already been predicted by a reliable source. Watch the video to speculate further about what the large tablet could be like ahead of its official reveal.
