Nike unveils the Apple Watch NikeLab

Nike has announced a new version of the Apple Watch Nike+, bringing together the Space Gray Apple Watch 2 with a black and cream Nike sports band.

Labelled the Apple Watch NikeLab, the new watch is available on a limited edition basis and has been described as the “ultimate style companion” for all runners.

The website lists the new device as a “limited edition, neutral-toned Apple Watch NikeLab” that “maintains the beloved features of its predecessor: deep integration with the Nike+ Run Club app, exclusive Siri commands, GPS, a two-times-brighter display and water resistance to 50 meters”, “made possible by a powerful dual-core processor and watchOS”.

The new watch will ship from April 27, and will also be available to purchase at NikeLab locations and at the new Apple Toyko pop-up store, housed in the Isetan department store. For the first time, this model will not be available to purchase from the Apple website, meaning fans of the new design will have to visit one of the Nike locations to pick one up.

The Apple Watch NikeLab is slated to be priced at $369 for the 38mm model and $399 for the 42mm model, falling in line with the rest of the Apple Watch Nike+ family.

In other Apple Watch news, rumors are suggesting that the third generation of the device will be unveiled this autumn. As we have previously reported, Series 3 of the Apple Watch will be released in the second half of 2017, falling in line with last year’s Series 2 release and mimicking the annual releases of the iPhone and iPhone Plus.
