Peacock’s ‘Dr. Death’ a major hit!

Dr. Death | Official Trailer | Peacock Original

On July 15, 2021, Peacock released the whole, 8-episode first season of its medical crime drama Dr. Death. The show, as described by Metacritic, is “based on the podcast of the same name”, and is a limited series that “tells the true story of Dr. Christopher Duntsch (Joshua Jackson), a Dallas surgeon who left more than 30 patients dead or permanently injured until two doctors (Alec Baldwin and Christian Slater) and an Assistant District Attorney (AnnaSophia Robb) work to stop him.” As indicated, the show stars cinematic legends Alec Baldwin and Christian Slater, with Joshua Jackson, Grace Gummer, and AnnaSohpia Robb co-starring. They are also joined by Kelsey Grammer, TV’s Frasier, who portrays Dr. Geoffrey Skadden in a recurring role.

And while the series has been described as a miniseries, meaning that its future is not completely clear, we have to say that we can highly recommend it to all who want some thrills along with excellent drama. The cast has done an amazing job and Peacock has an absolute hit.

The reviewers have only words of praise for the show. With a certified fresh rating, Rotten Tomatoes described the show in the following way: “Though it keeps viewers in the waiting room a little too long, Dr. Death is a horrifying tale of medical malpractice centered around Joshua Jackson’s sufficiently unsettling performance.”. Likewise, Metacritic gave the series a high 77 score, indicating generally favorable reviews!

Apple TV+ has obtained the rights to broadcast this series, so you can stream it immediately on your devices, that is if you’re not a Peacock member yet. Again, we highly recommend the show as it is one of the better series currently airing anywhere on TV, and we are certain that you’ll be enjoying the cast’s amazing performances as well as the thrilling plot that will keep you taped to the screens.
