While it has previously been suggested that the iPhone 7 Plus could come with a dual-lens camera and 256GB storage option, a new, leaked image out of China could show components for both features.
The photo, originating from Chinese social networking site Weibo and shared by veteran tech leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer on Twitter, supposedly shows, on the left-hand side, the handset’s dual-lens camera module and, to the right, SanDisk chips indicating various storage options for the handset.

The memory chips are especially intriguing, showing as they do 256GB, 64GB and 16GB storage options. While it’s possible that Apple could be preparing further storage options, like 32GB and 128GB, for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, it looks like 16GB could remain the base option for these handsets.
With Apple having recently introduced 256GB models of the 9.7-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro, this option is looking increasingly like a dead cert for the next iPhones. However, as those tablets each come with a base storage of 32GB, it remains probable that Apple could follow suit with its next smartphones.
