Playboy Magazine – Minus Nudity – Finally in iOS App Store

Playboy magazine might be iconic, but its nude content had long kept it out of the iOS App Store. The situation has changed, however – as the magazine, having decided to drop nudity as part of its “brand new vision” introduced earlier this year, has finally made it to iPhones and iPads.

In a press release today, Playboy announced that the periodical is now available to subscribers in both the iOS App Store and Google Play. A year’s subscription to the digital version is available for $17.99, while the per-issue price is $5.99. Furthermore, download the app during October and you will get complimentary access to six 2016 issues of Playboy, starting with the March 2016 issue – the first no-nudity issue.

The new Playboy Magazine app joins the already existing iOS apps Playboy NOW, a companion app for the Playboy.com website, and Playboy Classic, which features a range of content – including safe-for-work images – from the company’s archive.
