Tis the season for Christmas updates and Pokémon GO is no exception. For a long time, the app has only provided players with the original 151 Pokémon for them to find and catch – or most of them anyway – but Niantic’s gift to gamers this year is a batch of new adorable baby Pokémon from the second generation games.
Niantic announced on Monday that they had added Togepi and Pichu to the game, which can be hatched from eggs. After this announcement, players went out to find the new Pokémon and later discovered that Elekid, Cleffa, Magby and Igglybuff are also now available from eggs.
This is just a taste of what we can expect to see over the next few months, according to the official Niantic blog. All of the new Pokémon are going to be ones from the Gold and Silver games.
But the Christmas fun doesn’t stop there. From now until the 29th December players will be able to find special festive Pikachus in the wild wearing cute Christmas hats.
