Pokémon GO has announced a new collaboration and virtual concert with Ed Sheeran.

From November 22, players will be able to enjoy new Ed Sheeran content and watch a performance of his songs. It’s the first time that the game has hosted a musical event with a real musician, and follows on from the success of virtual concerts on the rival game Fortnite with singers such as Ariana Grande.

Ed Sheeran will perform songs like Perfect, Bad Habits, and Thinking Out Loud during the special gig.

As well as the show, players will be able to catch a new in-game Squirtle wearing sunglasses. “Ed always chooses the Water-type Pokémon as his first partner when he starts a Pokémon RPG,” the company said in a statement. “In celebration of this collaboration, look forward to an event featuring all of the Water-type first-partner Pokémon currently available in Pokémon GO!”
