There are so many iDevices cases out on the market. Just putting the words “iPad Case” into Google will present you with an ocean of results, and you’ll drive yourself crazy if you go page by page, checking out all the options. There are cases for protection, waterproof cases, and even designer sleeves that can help you display your iPad in a more “artistic way.” Although most of these accessories are cosmetic, there are a few jewels here and there that offer functionality.
The group over at Pong specialize in this type of case, and have managed to take it to an entirely new level. Pong’s iPhone, iPad, and Android cases do more than just look modern. They have unique technology within their housings that actually amplify the signal strength for your device. Each one of Pong’s sleeves promises to give you at least double the WiFi and 3G connectivity. You’ll also notice a healthy boost in both download and upload speeds. This is perfect for those of us who live in rural or mountainous areas, where both 3G and WiFi are limited.
Pong’s cases also address a major health concern. Their shielded accessories promise to cut the small amount of radiation exposure we receive when using smart devices into an even smaller number. This means you can use your devices for a longer time without having to worry so much about that prospect of prolonged radiation exposure. This is a very unique and smart selling point, specifically in a society that is more alert to potential hazards like cancer-causing carcinogens and radiation laced waves of energy.
The price seems a little steep, at $119 USD for a 4th generation iPad case. However, if this case managed to live up to all the promises it makes, then the price is more than worth it.
