OnLeaks and PriceBaba have collaborated on high-quality renders for the next iPhone XR.

Last year, the iPhone XR became Apple’s best-selling iPhone, overtaking the XS and XS Max in the United States, in part thanks to its cheaper $749 price tag and trade in promotions.

Whilst rumors for the iPhone XI and XI Max have been circulating for months, little is yet known about the new iPhone XR successor, which is also set to be released this September at an Apple keynote.

We know little about the new name for the XR 2 just yet. Rumors have suggested that the phone could be called the iPhone XE, but we’ll have to wait ‘til September to know for sure!

What we do know, though, is that Apple is planning to make some significant changes to the device for 2019, including the addition of a dual-lens camera on the rear, arranged in a new form with the LED flash on the right-hand side, and a new large square bump to house them.

The iPhone XR, featured in collaboration with OnLeaks on Pricebaba.com, boasts a sleek design shown from both front and back angles. The back view showcases a white color and dual camera setup, while the front view displays the screen with a thin notch at the top. The Apple logo is visible on the back.

Big changes ahead

Ming-Chi Kuo has previously revealed that the successor to the 6.1-inch iPhone XR will feature a new dual-lens rear camera setup rather than a triple-lens setup, which is expected on the new iPhone XS and XS Max successor, but that all three devices would come with a 12-megapixel front camera, significantly increasing the performance from the 7 megapixels that are included in the front-facing camera on all three 2018 iPhone models.

There’s conflicting information as to whether Apple will introduce an OLED display for the iPhone XR successor to bring it in line with the other models, but the majority of rumors are pointing towards the Liquid Retina LCD display, which will keep costs down on the XR.

Internally, all three new iPhones are expected to come with a new A13 chip to increase performance and efficiency, whilst a new flood illuminator is expected to improve the performance of Face ID, and a smaller notch has also been rumored, despite the fact Ming-Chi Kuo has stressed there’ll be no changes to the notch in 2019.

The iPhone XR accounted for around 32 percent of all US iPhone sales last year, whilst the XS and XS Max held a 35 percent stake combined, demonstrating the power of the iPhone XR brand – and the continued popularity of older, more affordable iPhones like the 7 and 8.
