Ralph Fiennes, currently best known on US shores for his role as M in the last two Bond movies, is showing off his chops for bringing Shakespearean verse to life in a new short for The Guardian.
At the London-based Almeida Theatre, Fiennes is following Benedict Cumberbatch in playing the twisted characterization of Richard III made well-known by the William Shakespeare play that takes the fourteenth century English kingās name. In the new video short on The Guardianās website, Fiennes, playing the same character, recites a soliloquy from the earlier Shakespeare play Henry VI, Part III.
While Fiennes will be performing in director Rupert Gooldās production of Richard III at the Almeida until August 6, you wonāt need to be in London soon to see the show ā as, in partnership with Picturehouse Entertainment, it will be broadcast live to cinemas globally on July 21.
