Reddit Releases iPad-Optimized Version of Official iOS App

The social news and community website Reddit has updated its iOS app to version 2.0. This release fixes some Reddit Live bugs, but the biggest new feature is an iPad-optimized app.

While there are many third party apps through which iOS users can enjoy Reddit, this app is your choice if you want an officially-provided Reddit experience on iPhone, iPod Touch and, now, iPad. Reddit: The Official App, to use its proper name, originally hit iOS in April this year.

Until today, iPad users were, of course, still able to use this app. However, the new iPad version provides a better visual arrangement of familiar Reddit features, including the timeline, profile, inbox and subscriptions, for the tablet’s larger screen.

Reddit: The Official App is available to download for free from the iOS App Store.
