Reliable Analyst Predicts New 4-Inch iPhone in Early 2016

If you still consider the 4-inch iPhone 5S to have the perfect form factor, you should be reassured to know that a respected analyst has predicted a new iPhone of this size to launch next year.

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has a record of generally accurate predictions about future Apple products, has issued, according to MacRumors, a new research note. In this note, he expresses his company’s belief that Apple is working on what resembles “an upgraded iPhone 5S”.

Kuo claims that there remains demand for a 4-inch iPhone, which Apple has not released for over two years. Therefore, he predicts mass production of this new iPhone to commence in the first half of 2016 and that the A9 processor present in the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus will also likely feature. 20-30 million units of this new handset, he adds, could be shipped by the end of 2016.
