REVIEW: Florence + The Machine – Songs from Final Fantasy XV

The release date for the much-anticipated fantasy RPG adventure Final Fantasy XV might have recently been delayed to November 29, but you can enjoy a little piece of it – in aural form – right now, thanks to British rock band Florence + The Machine’s new mini-album Songs from Final Fantasy XV.

This compact package includes three songs which Florence Welch and her bandmates have crafted for the game. Two of them, “Too Much Is Never Enough” and “I Will Be”, are originals and have very much the ethereal spirit of the game franchise itself. However, our personal favorite track has to be the reworking of the Ben E. King classic “Stand By Me” – have a listen to it for yourself…

The complete album is available for $2.99 from the iTunes Store or to stream on Apple Music. However, before listening to it, you might want to check out the just-released issue #251 of AppleMagazine, in which we shine a spotlight on the album alongside other recent iTunes Store releases.
