iOS devices can be undoubtedly useful assets for travel – to the extent that Apple is even explicitly marketing them to nomads for the festive season. The French luxury fashion label Louis Vuitton has obviously realized, too – having launched its legendary City Guides on the mobile platform.
While the core app is free and provides useful – or, perhaps an often more accurate descriptor, interesting – information about such world-renowned cities as London, New York and Moscow, only one of the virtual City Guides – for Paris – is freely provided in full, the rest each carrying a charge of a few dollars. For more avid travelers, buying all of those in-app guides would be a hefty investment.
If, on the other hand, you have more specialist interest in just a few of the featured cities, you could more easily appreciate the detailed listings, slick presentation and stunningly crisp and intricate photography that come as standard with each of the City Guides. Merci beaucoup!
