We would heartily recommend the recently-released New Order album Music Complete to fans of the legendary British band’s more electronic side. Very much in-keeping with that ethos is the latest single, “Singularity” – which comes in a great extended mix.
The track’s fast pace, following a suspenseful start, exhilarates much like the best New Order songs of the 1980s heyday can. This new single mix largely just extends the album track’s chorus to more satisfying effect, though the close can seem a bit abrupt. Were we just enjoying the music too much?
This extended mix can be bought for just $1.29 from the iTunes Store and is also available for streaming on Apple Music. But there’s a lot more goodness in the full album, which we reviewed upon its release in September.
