Rocker PJ Harvey Gets First Number One Album in Native UK

British rocker PJ Harvey’s latest album, The Hope Six Demolition Project, has topped her native country’s album chart. This means that she has now scored her first number one album in that territory.

The artist’s impressive achievement emerged with today’s publication of the UK-based Official Charts Company’s new weekly data. The data also revealed that Canadian rapper Drake kept the country’s best-selling single for the week with “One Dance” featuring Wizkid and Kyla.

Though the legendary artist Prince’s death was announced only hours before the end of the chart sales week, his Ultimate compilation nonetheless reached No. 10 on the British album chart.

PJ Harvey’s The Hope Six Demolition Project was recently added to the iTunes Store ā€“ and, if you’re considering downloading it, you can first read much more about it in the new issue of AppleMagazine.
