The hit arcade-style driving-meets-soccer game Rocket League will get a retail release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this year. This version of the game, Rocket League: Collector’s Edition, will include content from the three main DLC Packs yet released, along with retail-exclusive extras.
Rocket League has sold millions of copies since arriving on digital portals for PlayStation 4 and PC in July 2015, thanks to its frenetic gameplay involving speedy RC-style cars playing soccer in awe-inspiring, sprawling arenas. A digital Xbox One version also arrived this month.
Now, publisher 505 Games has signed a deal with the game’s independent developer, Psyonix, to bring the new Rocket League: Collector’s Edition to retail stores. There’s no word on which retailers will get the game and exactly when, but a release in the third quarter of 2016 is currently scheduled.
