Samsung’s S Health app – the South Korean company’s answer to Apple’s Health app, though limited to Android devices – has been updated with more varied content, an improved design and more.
In the release notes for the app update, Samsung cites a wider range of health content in a number of countries, though it stops short of specifying exactly which ones. However, in whatever country the app is used, it’s now possible to use a Samsung account to save records of Steps challenges.
Also added are the abilities to send messages to cheer on friends and block unwanted people from inviting you to Steps challenges. There’s also better security, as it’s now Samsung Knox enabled and complies with HIPAA. And that’s before mentioning new menus, bug fixes and an all-round better user experience.
Samsung’s S Health app, which can be put to tracking various aspects of the user’s health, is free to download from Google Play for devices – not just Samsung devices – running Android 4.4 or above.
